New roof replacement in Terrace Park with soffit vents added.
Removal of plywood.
Narrow Soffits.

Older houses with intake ventilation.

When installing a new roof, it is extremely important to make sure the attic is ventilated. Older houses are challenging due to narrow soffits, insulation covering to soffits, cathedral ceilings etc. This particular house has very narrow soffits so when we installed the roof we removed a sheet of plywood to determine what was the best way to add some “intake” ventilation. We installed 1.25″ round soffit vents at all the eaves, allowing intake air to work in conjunction with the newly installed ridge vents. This left the homeowners with a properly ventilated attic and lower energy costs.
